Interment followed at Fairview Cemetery in Homer. A funeral service celebrating the life of Mary Lou took place December 31, 2015, at the funeral home with Pastors Robert Stover and Linda Farmer Lewis officiating. Relatives and friends were received December 30, 2015, at the Kempf Family Funeral Home, Homer Chapel, 303 S. McCullough, and son Jeffery Scott McCullough. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Maurice E. Surviving Mary Lou are two grandsons, Joshua (Tracy) McCullough of Homer and Matthew (Jenah) McCullough of Oxford two great-grandsons, Jeffery Scott McCullough II and Cooper Thomas McCullough daughter- in-law, Sheri (Keith) Zienert of Marshall and several nieces. Mary Lou enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, solving the world’s problems one cup of coffee at a time with her friends, but most of all spending time with her grandsons, and great grandsons. She worked for Homer Community Schools as the superintendent’s secretary for 37 years, retiring in 1989. McCullough July 22, 1951, and together they shared 48 wonderful years he preceded her in death December 5, 1999. Mary Lou graduated from Homer High School with the class of 1949. She was born December 7, 1931, the daughter of Karl T. Mary Lou McCullough, 84, of Homer, passed away December 25, 2015, at her home. He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents and two uncles, Jack McAuliffe and Barry Foster. Surviving him are his wife, Glennda Wright of Battle Creek parents, Donald and Carolyn Wright of South Daytona, Florida a brother, Randy (Heidi) Hazel of Homer two sisters, Tonya (Bill) Woodworth of Albion and Kimberly (Fernando) Martinez of Pennfield mother-in-law, Donna Sumrall father-in-law, David (Teresa) Lindsey sister-in-law, Elizabeth (Tony) Erskine nieces and nephews, Alexandra Hazel, Becky Woodworth, Nick Hazel, Ben Woodworth, Billy (Ellen Sanford) Woodworth, Maddison Hazel, Madison Blowers, Elijah Hazel, Grace Martinez, Hunter Blowers, Izzabella Hazel, A.J Erskine and Charlie Erskine three great-nieces, Brooke, Emerson and Amelia a great-nephew, Brody and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Tyler enjoyed gaming, table top gaming, anime animation, manga games, Renaissance fairs and, most of all, spending time with his friends and family. He worked at Wal-Mart in the Vision Center as a vision tech for the past six years. Tyler graduated from Homer High School with the Class of 2003. He was born November 7, 1983, the son of Donald A. Tyler Arthur Paul Wright, 32, of Battle Creek, formerly of Albion, passed away December 27, 2015, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Kalamazoo County.
